Notes
The ceiling is painted on a curved vault. The background is dark blue and the colours are well preserved. This is the earliest surviving example of Neugebauer and Parker's "Seti I C" family of decan lists. In this ceiling, the deities are shown as figures, much bigger than those normally used for the determinatives of the deity names. The deities form a procession which almost obscures the decanal constellation figure of the Boat, while in contrast the Sheep is reduced to a determinative-sized figure among the decan names.

Decan List
The list gives an approximate layout for how the decans, deities, cluster labels (x-nwt Xt), and decanal figures (in bold) are arranged. However, the only way of perceiving the complete layout and orthography of the labels is by consulting photographs, drawings, or the original. For conventions and abbreviations, see below the table.
This decan list is used as the archetype for a family of seven astronomical representations. Neugebauer and Parker call the list "the Seti I C list" and the astronomical representations which that this list "the Seti I C family". Characteristic features of the decan and planet list are: the inclusion of the superior planet Mars (SP3), the order of the Sahu decans, the writing of rmn Hrw rather than Hry rmn sAH, and inclusion of Hry-ib xntw, iwn sAH, msDr sAH, a sAH, and sAH. The other notable feature is that there are 39 ordinary decans from tpy-a knmt to spdt, plus six triangle decans.

The decan numbers and letters shown here are for the decan family AR2.
SP = superior planet
IP = inferior planet
Grey shading = damage
< > = omitted but understood
[ ] = damaged text
( ) = explanatory notes or additional material
The number of star symbols accompanying the decans is also omitted here, as it is often impossible to tell to which decan the symbols refer. EAT3 deals with star symbols in some detail.
